Subject Area 7 – Awareness and Training Programs

Synopsis Our July Program will focus on Awareness and Training Programs (Professional Practices Area 7). Part of developing Awareness and Training programs is continuing our own learning through Networking Organizations like ASAP. How does social networking play into this you may ask? Social networking sites like LinkedIn have active business continuity discussion boards where you can benefit from some of the leading industry experts as well as contribute to those in the apprentice stage of their careers and BC program development. If you are looking for employees, consultants, additional expertise or perhaps you are looking to advance your career, involvement in Networking can lay an excellent foundation for all of these activities.

Presenting to ASAP this month will be Kim Cohen, Vice President of Communications at Barclays Capital/HomEq Servicing, Colleen Kemper, AVP Training at Barclays Capital/HomEq Servicing and Deedee Castrodale, Senior Recruiting Manager for Barclays Capital/HomEq Servicing on the topic of Networking for the Business Continuity Professional. They will discuss the traditional tools of Networking, some additional tools that will enhance our professional lives and sharpen skill sets, and some sources that will add to our professional expertise as well as encourage information sharing throughout the profession.

Kim serves as a member of the Barclays/HomEq Crisis Management Team and brings a working career of experience and knowledge in process improvement, functional process improvement, communication, and leadership training and development.

Colleen has been a key component of Barclays/HomEq's training department with responsibility for the Leadership Development Program for mid and upper level management within the company.

Deedee has headed the Recruitment department at Barclays/HomEq and has a wealth of experience and knowledge about leveraging the available tools in the social networking strata to expand your sphere of influence as well as tap into an endless pool of knowledge in the cyber world.

Don't miss this exciting and thought provoking program.
